Academics & Curriculum

THAS is part of the worldwide Seventh-Day Adventist school network. The Seventh-Day Adventist educational system includes elementary, secondary schools, colleges, and university-level education in countries around the world. Today you’ll find Adventist Schools in nearly 150 countries.

The Adventist school system is one of the largest educational systems in the world. Students in all grades, in Adventist schools of all sizes, outperformed the national average in all subjects. The credentialed teachers at our schools thrive on showing children Jesus, nurturing their love for Him and others, teaching them to think, and empowering them to serve their communities.

Standard Based Learning

THAS uses Standard Base Learning SBL- instruction, assessment, grading, and academic reporting based on students demonstrating understanding or mastery of knowledge and skills they are expecting to learn. It promotes high expectations for all students. It builds on a student's prior knowledge to teach new concepts.

THAS offers a rich academic program for every student. We take academics seriously but we also believe students should develop an appreciation for other aspects of life inside and outside the classroom.
